WOW. I bet everyone who bet TCU is pissed as hell that they didn't go for the FG at the end. I was sure this was a loss when they didn't get a first down on 3 and 1.

What??? Now way they were going to kick a 40+ yard field goal and a risk a block or something crazy from happening when they only had to run 9 seconds off the clock. There was no doubt in my mind they weren't going to kick a field goal.

Even the commentators said, "You can't risk any kind of kick here."

No coach in America would kick a field goal there.

Personally, I'm of the mantra to always have the game in your hands, not the opponents. Doug Flutie.

Still, good play, 'grats.

That's why you don't long snap the ball with 9 seconds on the clock and the lead. You call the right play and you can very easily run the 9 seconds off the clock. Hell, a run up the middle for two yards ends the game. Kicking a field goal there doesn't assure you a win anymore then going for it there does. Again, no coach in a America kicks a 43 yard field goal in the situation. NOT ONE!

I can guarantee you a field goal would have been seriously considered if Andy Reid were on that sideline.
