Sorry guys. Even though we hit 2 of 3 in the big plays on Saturday, The Visionary was defeated again. I had another extremely frustrating day where nothing seemed to go my way. I also completely misread my two 3-unit plays as Michigan State & Missouri decided that they didn't feel like playing. We gave 5.3 units back to the books and dropped the NCAA Football record back into those dreadful red figures. I am really going to have to bear down and focus with the college football before I let things spin out of control. Even though we had one just two weeks ago, it seems like forever since we had a winning Saturday. Maybe it just seems that way because the winning Saturday that we had two weeks ago wasn't all that gratifying. The mid-week college action has really kept things from unraveling this year. I vow to improve the college football plays this year and turn things around.
As usual, I'll try to get us another bounce-back Sunday in the NFL, which has been the bread and butter so far this football season. The good news about the losing Saturday is that we lost all the lower rated plays earlier in the day. So, while I was scoreboard watching my 5-unit play on Arizona last night, I was able to spend a few extra hours putting the final touches on my NFL picks for Sunday. I have another decent side card for Sunday, which again features a two 4-unit plays and one big 5-unit play. Lets try to put that ugly Saturday loss behind us with these....
Visionary's Sunday NFL Football Picks:
Pick: Indianapolis Colts -1.5 (NFL)
Value: 5 Unit Play
Pick: Cincinnati Bengals +9.5 (NFL)
Value: 4 Unit Play
Pick: New Orleans Saints +3 (NFL)
Value: 4 Unit Play
Pick: Chicago Bears -3 (CFB)
Value: 3 Unit Play
Pick: San Diego Chargers +1.5 (CFB)
Value: 3 Unit Play
Pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -10.5 (CFB)
Value: 2 Unit Play
(The Visionary's daily free sports picks are rated on a 1-5 unit scale)
P.S. To the idiots who again flooded the comments last night: Find something to do with your life that is constructive and doesn't involve trying to hurt others. You will never amount to crap if this is what you do with your free time. This also includes the other ridiculous comments that I deleted last night. I don't know why I even bother commenting to you fools. You are all completely hopeless.
Good Luck Everyone!

You aren't going to win them all, and none of us expected you to.
You're a class act and a breath of fresh air.
Vis,
Keep up the good work. That Arionna pick capped off a very successful Saturday on this end. I was iffy on that game, but went with it strong based on your post. I stayed up to 1:30 a.m. watching the big win. I don't play EVERY game you post, but combine it with own handicapping experience which is in large part based on watching many many hours of games all across the country (which is something I recall you recommending several months ago in one of your posts). Don't let the doubters get you down. Keep at it.

Thanks for the positive remarks guys.
I am glad you made money yesterday, GiantFan. At least someone did.
Lets have a winning Sunday.

Hell of a weekend to be in Vegas.
This weekend has been an absolute train wreck. Very frustrated and annoyed right now. I may take Monday off.
Hey visionary, great blog. I am starting a blogroll on my NFL blog and wondered if you are interested in exchanging links.
I am a statistician using advanced statistical methods to predict NFL games against the point spread. I am making a killing, so far, this year. Please visit my blog and let me know if you are interested.
I like these 3 favorites for week 8: San Diego -3, Washington -7.5, and Carolina -4.5.
Thanks,
