Welcome Sports Betting Friends:

Ehhh...Even though we picked up just over a unit and went 3-2 on Saturday with the college football picks, I was rather disappointed with my handicapping results. The reason for this is that the two games we lost weren't even close and it could have been a lot worse. I should take that as a sign and not go so heavy during the first week or two. I could have cost us some serious cash on Saturday. However, I am very glad things turned out alright. It also would have been nice if Clemson came to play. They should have stayed home.

As I stated on Thursday...or Friday (one of the two days), you shouldn't base too much of your action on what you see in previous college and NFL football seasons. Watch as many football teams play as possible, and get some new perspective before diving in.

This brings me to my daily advice....The Visionary's NFL and college football betting tip for today: Always remember that sports handicapping includes watching the teams play on television to get an idea of what they are capable of. When I say watch the teams, that doesn't mean watching highlights on Sportscenter or College Gameday. Watch the actual games and learn at least one thing about each team's defense, offense, and special teams every time you watch an NFL or NCAA football game.

Players, we are not going to overdo it on Sunday. None of you should be betting close to what you wagered overall yesterday on these two games. Like the NFL Sunday & Monday night games, these are the very games that the sportsbooks make a killing from. These are the games where bettors try to dig themselves out of a hole by loading up on the last two games of the week. Sportsbooks and bookies love the fact that players are using these games to dig themselves out of a rut. They make a killing on vig alone with these matchups.

Try to look at the football rotation schedule as a whole and forget about which day is which. And, if you feel that you want to play the game because it's the only game on the board and need a bit of a thrill, play it small and don't parlay, tease, or make prop bets...you'll just be pissing your heard earned cash away! I know that's a lot easier said then done for some people and I know a lot of people know this already, but it never hurts to be reminded or to remind yourself to play smart. I like when people remind me to do the things that I should be doing.

Anyway, one of the two college football games today caught my eye when I was looking at the board on Friday night. I was rather looking forward to this one. This and a small play in the other game is going to do it for Sunday. I am not in the mood to wreck a good thing that I have going in the bases by forcing a play that I am unsure of. Here are the two NCAA football picks for Sunday...
