Nailed both the side and total last night and pretty much capped that one perfectly. I updated my record and after Saturday, I am hitting my college football plays at a 72% rate; banking over 30 units (at a 1 to 5 unit scale) going into the fourth weekend of the season. Anyone know any handicapping services that are doing that right now? Did I mention that these are 100% free picks? I said on Thursday to expect a big weekend from me. Since, I said, I am 3-0 +5 units.

Ok enough gloating. I just want to let you guys know that I am feeling really good about this weekend and this card. I felt a lot more comfortable handicapping as I have a much better feel for these teams at this point in the season. Hopefully it pays off tomorrow. So...on to the Saturday college football picks.... I have a big slate of underdogs (with a big 5-unit play) that I think should turn out to be very profitable....

Here they are...

Another easy winner last night in Miami over Pitt. Young Tino Sunseri looked pretty good last night, aye? On to tonight's Texas style shootout; I am not really in love with this line, but the match-up should be fun to watch. TCU is still a bit over-rated in my opinion and they need a reality check more then any team in the country. Too bad there is nobody to give it to them other then Utah in November. Do they seriously play these schedules and expect to be considered for the National Championship? Of course, the Horned Frogs can score points in bunches as long as Dalton is settled in. At the same time, SMU is a program on the rise and has an offense that can score points. This was right around the same line when SMU played Texas Tech two weeks ago (it was 14). Granted, SMU only covered in the Texas Tech game due to poor coaching decisions by ed Raider coach Tommy Tuberville along with a few lucky bounces. However, it was still a shootout of 62 points (could have been more) and this one will be too. I will lay two units on the over. TCU is also playing their first road game of the season and may get caught off guard early. They will get every team's best game this year. I see SMU getting off to a solid start, but not being able to keep up. I will be expecting TCU to pull away in the second half with perhaps a backdoor cover by SMU. I think SMU +17.5 at home is worth laying one unit. They're too big of a home-dog for me to lay off the side. It will also be fun to root for the big upset (which can always happen). Looking to see a total score in the 70's (not the 50's).

Visionary's Thursday NCAA Football Pick:
(Visionary's Plays Are Rated On A 1 to 5 Unit Scale)

Pick: TCU vs. SMU Over 55 (CFB)
Value: 2 Unit Play

Pick: SMU Mustangs +17.5 (CFB)
Value: 1 Unit Play

Back tomorrow with my Saturday college football picks....

I apologize for my absence the past few days. I had some family obligations and I know I missed the second week of the NFL. However, I will make it up to you all this weekend with some winners. I now have my NCAA football record up to date (to your right) where I am off to a dominant start. I will get the NFL football season going this week as I have a lot of time to go over the weekend's board. I am predicting a very solid week for the Visionary in both college and NFL football. So, make sure to check back on Saturday and Sunday as the Visionary will continue his dominant 18-8 (+28 unit) start to the NCAA football season and finally kick the NFL season in to gear.

First thing's first; tonight's match up. Experienced QB in Harris giving 3.5 on the road against basically, a freshman QB who is facing his first real defensive test of his career (and sorry, Utah's secondary doesn't count as a real test). I usually don't like laying points on the road. However, this line seems a bit off (should be closer to 6 or 7). I'll take Jacory Harris and company in this one for two units. I will also buy the hook for 10 cents.

Visionary's Thursday NCAA Football Pick:
(Visionary's Plays Are Rated On A 1 to 5 Unit Scale)

Pick: Miami Hurricanes -3 -120 (CFB)
Value: 2 Unit Play

By the way readers, I am done with the bases for the rest of the regular season. In my opinion there isn't much value in any of these lines (other then totals) at this point. I am also getting very tired of going through an entire board and not finding anything. For the most part, I will just be posting football picks along with some MLB playoff picks when the time comes. Of course if I see anything else, I will post em. Check back tomorrow and throughout the weekend as the Visionary looks to have a very profitable weekend.

Best of Luck My Friends!
