I am posting my two Monday Night Football plays a bit early just to get them posted. It looks right now like Sunday is going to turn out be a profitable day as the Ravens are up 14-0 in the 3rd quarter as I write this post and this game is playing out as expected. Things are going good as Sunday appears it's going to make it four winning days in a row. I will be back to post the NBA and college basketball picks for Monday night later on. I just figured I would get these last NFL plays for the week posted and get back to you with the rest. I will also update the record before Monday's basketball picks are posted...

Visionary's Week 14 Monday Night Football Play:

Pick: Carolina Panthers -3 (NFL)
Value: 3 Unit Play

Pick: Bucs @ Panthers Over 38.5 (NFL)
Value: 3 Unit Play

(Visionary's daily free sports picks are rated on a 1 to 5 unit scale)

Be back later on...

Best of Luck!

I liked last nights calls better than you did and parlayed last nights Carolina and over call.

Thanks!

Think you might get the bowl games up early in a bowl edition blog or is that asking too much?

Tim,

Who said I didn't like them? I enjoyed hitting both the side and total last night in the MNF game as much as the next guy.

Although I do not advise betting parlays on a regular basis, I am glad to hear that you cashed in last night.

Regarding the bowl games, I may post them a few at a time. I really love bowl season, because the public just falls in love with the favorites. Due to the motivation factor that the public just ignores (especially in big games), it's the best time for the underdogs to come in at a high rate. For this reason, I will not be placing most of my bowl wagers until a few hours before game time as the lines usually move in favor of betting the dogs.

I am hoping to have another great bowl season. Last year was my best run of bowl games that I have ever had. I hit 10 in a row at one point. In 2006, I finished just over .500. In 2005, I had another outstanding bowl season.

Thanks for reading.

Oh to clarify - I just meant while you had them at 3 point plays I had both of them probably at a 6 on your scale. Ha

I agree - Im not normally a parlay guy but I felt so strongly about both I figured if there was a time to do it....

Thanks again and look forward to the bowl picks.

Tim,

I see what you mean now. 3-unit plays are slightly above average plays. Plays that I like, but don't feel very strongly about, I usually will play at 1 or 2 units. A 3-unit play is a fairly strong play, with 4 and 5 being the strongest.

Either way, I am glad you made some cash. I have different followers all the time. I like hearing that my picks helped someone, especially a new reader. People jump on and off the wagon here all the time. Most of the blog readers will never understand with handicapping, there are cold streaks and hot streaks. Money management is just as important as having a good handicapper. Play smart and stay disciplined.
