Ladies & Gentlemen:

Here we are again. The weekend is here and I really think it's time for a strong Saturday. I am typing this post just after halftime of the Boise State @ San Jose State game. Therefore, I will not be recapping my Friday. At the time of this post, we did hit our NHL play. Boise State should be able to put this one away and I am going to be pretty disappointed if they don't as this San Jose State team absolutely sucks and Boise has had about 100 opportunities to put this one away in the first half.

I have been saying all week, I worked very hard on this Saturday card. I am hoping to finally have a big Saturday of college football picks as I think I am overdue. My Saturday card includes a few big plays and some picks in some of the bigger games today. A mixture of favorites and underdogs as well as home and road teams. I also put in a two-unit play on the Rays tonight. According to the bookies that I know and have spoken with, I am going against the public with most of this action today. Here we go for Saturday...

Love all but on of the picks, a radio announcer said that Ohio St. would go 11-1 and he actually said after the loss to USC, seemed like a funny thing to say at the time but the more they play the more it seems likely to happen. Anyway, good luck this weekend. And great way to start the weekend with +6 units! M&M

M&M,

Thanks for the support and for the post yesterday. I always appreciate the comments and appreciate everyone who is willing to show their support for this blog.

I'd really like to see the haters do better then my record, which, by the way, is in the black in all four sports right now.

I really like this Penn State play. I almost made it a 4-unit play, but I usually try not play big games for more then 3-units and I didn't want to put too much on the line today. However, it seems like there are more Ohio State fans on the web backing their team. So, I should probably expect and OSU fan (or two) to stop by and post a comment about how Ohio State will win because of Pryor and Wells. But, PSU has been cover city this year and I actually lot a few plays going against them. I think it's about time I let the Lions make me some money today. I really love all my plays today and I am going to be very disappointed if I don't make money with this card.

Yes, indeed Boise State was a nice win and I was right on about the public underestimating them today. I saw a ton of public bettors backing a bad San Jose State team on Friday night. It's hard to believe that that the public is still underrating this team. Seriously, how could anyone doubt this team, especially against a WAC opponent? They are the best team in the WAC by a mile. Nobody is even close. They played a piss poor game and still covered by 10 points. They could have won that game by 30. It's almost about time that Boise State gets bumped up to a BCS conference. However, they may actually lose media attention (instead of gaining publicity) if this happens. The boys in blue can play. They are more then deserving of their rankings. If anyone is going to be the 'BCS Buster', it's going to be Boise State.

Very well said, if you were selling me something and probably would have bought it lol! I think I'm just gonna watch the Ohio st/Penn st game with no wager. Hoping to be up a few units by then. Just to clarify I'm not a fan of either team but Ohio st. only seems to lose big games when they play in bowls.
Thanks again, Cheers mate!

M&M,

In some ways, this PSU/OSU game also reminds me a little bit of the game that Ohio State lost to Illinois last year early in the year. I also think a lot of the popular trends that point to Ohio State are sucker trends and I can really see Penn State's 'O' putting up big numbers on this overrated OSU defense. I really dug deep into this game when breaking down the matchup and the numbers. I wish that I had time to write everything that I looked at for this matchup.

I honestly put in at least an hour or more per day, everyday this week (since Tuesday) on this card. Overall, I put in at least 6 hours on this card. I am very excited for these games to get underway.

Anway, it's about time for some sleep. Best of luck tomorrow!

Very good handicapping today. I had a very nice day thanks to you, especially so, since I didn't bet the TB/Philly game because being an M's fan, I can't bet against Jamie Moyer.

Way to go Vis. Penn State made my day, both straight up and w/parlays. You're back with college picks. Looking forward to the NFL picks. NYGiantFan

Hey guys,

I am glad that you guys made some money with me today. It feels good to finally have a profitable Saturday. I hope a lot more players cashed with me today. I wish the Rays could have came in as well.

I'm rather proud of my handicapping work this week and I really needed this lift. I was beginning to get kind of discouraged with all of my hard work not paying off. I was really beginning to get annoyed watching Joe Public cash in with garbage plays. The screwball haters (that don't know what handicapping means) trashing me after losing Saturday doesn't help either.

Again, I really hope that I helped some other readers make some money today and I am going to try to continue this run. I hope to have a much stronger second half to the college football season. Very nice day!

At the risk of sounding like a complete degenerate. I absolutely must do some ranting about Kansas. How bad were the Jayhawks this afternoon? Seriously. What in the world was that?! Not only did this team completely under-perform, but they had a god awful game plan as well. Did they forget that they needed to run the ball and keep Tech's offense off the field. Did they forget that Texas Tech had a two Hiesman hopefuls on their offense. Jeez! This team was just horrible from the very start to the end. I could not believe how bad every aspect of Kansas football was; Coaching, Defense, Offense, Special Teams, even the fans weren't even into it from the start. This is why Kansas is, and always will be...a joke of a college football program. Never again will they even be considered for a BCS bowl. Nice effort losers.

For anyone that is waiting for Sunday's plays, I have a nice NFL card for today and I will have it up within the hour. Be back in a bit.
