The Visionary's Friday NCAA Football Picks!

2008 MLB Baseball Picks Record: 68-50 (+82.85 Units / 58%)
2008 NFL Football Picks Record: 30-18 (+35.50 Units / 63%)
2008 NCAA Football Picks Record: 24-20 (+3.70 Units / 55%)

Good Morning My Sports Betting Buddies:

We got that ugly red figure off the 2008 NCAA football picks record last night by nailing our three unit play on the over in the SMU/Tulane game and of course hitting our two unit play on Oregon State, both of which were over well before the final whistle. I am sure everyone enjoyed the Oregon State upset over USC. If you didn't read yesterday's post, other then taking the Beavers and the points in last night's game, this is what The Visionary had to say;

"Here's a college football prediction for ya and you can mark my words on this; USC will not go undefeated this year."

I honestly did not think my prediction on the Trojans would have been correct this quickly. The funny part was that someone chose to debate The Visionary's prediction before last night's game kicked off and he was eating his words in the second quarter. (I'm not bashing you, Mez. I just had to mention it).

We took another 1-1 push in the bases, picking up another 0.2 units. If we keep this up in the bases, we'll pick up one unit every week. Boy, the Diamondbacks really do suck and they just played their way right out of the playoffs. I was hoping to get to a 100 units in the bases before the season ends, but I think we're running out of time. Perhaps with the baseball regular season ending, the college football picks will benefit as I won't have so many baseball games to go over. I will finally be able to focus just on my football handcapping. The Visionary's best month of sports betting over the past two years was October in both 2006 and 2007.

By the way, if anyone wants to show their support for the free picks here and help this blog grow, please read last night's post below titled, "Help Support The Visionary's Cause". All support for this blog is highly appreciated.

We are now halfway to our goal of 150 units by October 15th. Maybe I should have set the bar a little higher. Although, I probably shouldn't get too cocky as the past two weeks I have been unable to carry the mid-week college football winning steak into the weekend. Let's see if we can reverse that trend and start with a winner in tonight's matchup.

The Visionary is going to stray away from the bases for the weekend as the season is winding down. I really love the total in tonight's college football matchup. I'm also going to throw down a small play on the side. Before getting started on my serious football handicapping for the weekend, I have a little bit of time, as well as a little extra motivation. So, I'd like to give you all a little bit of analysis on tonight's move....

Do you guys happen to remember last Friday's post, when I said that UConn would be reluctant to run the ball against Baylor and it would end up hurting them in the end. Well, they were hesitant to put the ball in the air and it did end up hurting them as I said it would. It wasn't until late in the game when they finally realized they were playing a lousy secondary and started to air it out. This week, I really don't think that it'll take as long for the Huskies to realize that they are playing against another lousy secondary as well as a lousy defense overall. Louisville gave up 29 points and 313 yards through the air vs. Kansas State. The Visionary is expecting tonight's matchup to be very similar to the K-State game last Wednesday and is looking for a shootout tonight where Louisville outscores the Huskies in the end. So...

Visionary's Friday Night College Football Picks:

Pick: Connecticut @ Louisville Over 51 (CFB)
Value: 4 Unit Play

Pick: Louisville Cardinals -3.5 (CFB)
Value: 2 Unit Play

(The Visionary's daily free sports picks are rated on a 1-5 unit scale)

Good Luck & See You All Tomorrow!
